Everyone has 7 main Chakras which are the energy ecosystem of your body. Each one corresponds to a different aspect of your life such as wealth, love, health and creativity.
Each chakra/energy center also correlates to specific mental, emotional and physical ailments or imbalance. When there is a physical issue, it may cause abnormal differences in emotional behavior. When there is an emotional or mental imbalance, we experience physical ailments/restrictions. When the stale/negative energy is released from the body, it can undo the ill effects in that area.
How can you tell if your Chakras Are Out Of Balance?
The best way it to break it down by each chakra so you can better understand its importance and function in your body and from there be able to tell if it is "blocked" or in need of clearing.
The Root is the first chakra in the body (It is located at the base of your spine, at your tailbone).
Physical imbalances include: The legs, feet, tailbone, rectum, male reproductive parts, prostate gland, and immune system. Common imbalances associated with the root chakra are likely to experience issues of eating disorders, constipation, knee pain, and degenerative arthritis.
Emotional imbalances include: Feelings of lack which affect basic survival needs like money, shelter and/or food. Common fears are based around the ability to provide the necessities for one's life.
When the Root Chakra is balanced: We have a sense of connection to the physical world feeling grounded, safe and supported.
The Sacral Chakra is the second chakra in the body (Located two inches below your navel).
Physical imbalances include: Kidney dysfunctions, urinary problems, pelvic, hip, lower back pain, sexual and reproductive issues.
Emotional imbalances include: Ability to express emotions. The ability to play, relax and have fun concerning our desires, creativity, pleasure, sexuality. Also known to encounter reproductive issues. Common fears based on addictions, betrayal, and impotence.
When the Sacral Chakra is balanced: We are able to take risks and make commitments. We are more outgoing, passionate, creative and have a healthy sex drive.
The Solar Plexus is the Third Chakra in the body (Located three inches above your navel).
Physical imbalances include: Liver dysfunction, diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, stomach ulcers, digestive disorders, colon diseases, and pancreas and gallbladder issues.
Emotional imbalances include: Issues self-esteem and personal power, we become our own worst critic or think others think/view us negatively as well. Common fears of criticism, rejection, or how people view us and our physical appearances.
When the Solar Plexus Chakra is balanced: We feel respected by others and ourselves. There is more compassion expressed and felt toward ourselves and others. We gain more confidence and assertiveness as we tend to feel more in control of our lives and circumstances that surround us.
The Heart is the fourth chakra in the body (The obvious location being the heart).
Physical imbalances include: Heart disease, lung disease, asthma, lymphatic systems, breast issues, arm and wrist pain, and upper back/ shoulder problems.
Emotional imbalances include: Relationship issues.... jealousy, fear of abandonment, anger, over suffocating our loved ones. Common fears of loneliness.
When the Heart chakra is balanced: There are feelings of gratitude, love, compassion, joy. The ability to forgive others is expressed more freely while trust is gained.
The Throat is the fifth chakra in the body ( Again, the obvious location hers is the throat :) ).
Physical imbalances include: Sore throats, laryngitis, TMJ, thyroid issues, ear infections, ulcers, facial problems like the cheeks, lips, tongue and chin problems, shoulder and neck pain.
Emotional imbalances include: Problems with communication or self-expression (both written or verbally). Common fears are loss of power or self-control, lack of willpower, lack of choices.
When the Throat Chakra is balanced: We are freely able to communicate through words and expression. We are good listeners and are found to be truthful... honest, yet firm.
The Third Eye is the sixth chakra in the body (Located in the center of the forehead between your eyes).
Physical imbalances include: Headaches/migraines, sinus issues, eyestrain, blurred vision, hearing loss, seizures, and hormonal function.
Emotional imbalances include: An inability to look at one's own fears, inability to learn from others. live in fantasy world or daydreams often, has problems with self-reflection, vulnerability and often times are found to be moody.
When the Third Eye Chakra is balanced: There is clarity and focus. We are receptive to wisdom, perception and depth of insight. The ability to determine between reality and fantasy is more clearly defined.
The Crown is the seventh Chakra of the body (Located at the crown/top of the head).
Physical imbalance include: Inability to learn, sensitive to light, sound, or the surrounding environment/elements, can also suffer with depression.
Emotional imbalances include: Having rigid thoughts/beliefs on religion, spirituality and greater power, carries prejudices of self and others, in a state of constant confusion. Common fears of alienation/separation.
When the Crown Chakra is balanced: We are more balanced and able to live in the present moment. Our intuition/ inner guidance is strong and unwavering.
So.... What are the methods to use for healing/balancing?
There are several ways the Chakras can be healed/cleared. The most common methods are through Reiki, Crystals/gemstones/healing wands/pendulums, guided or unguided meditation/visualization techniques, aromatherapy, Hatha Yoga... the list can go on and on.
What I choose to use is either Reiki or crystal pendulums. No matter what modality you choose can immensely help aid in balancing and maintaining your chakras.
